(More customer reviews)I use this every day. So does my 55 year old husband, my 78 year old dad, my 98 year old friend and my 30 year old daughter in law. It seems to keep the digestive system on track. My husband is highly lactose intollerant, and he takes it with no problem. I notice my system feeling sluggish if I forget it for more than a day. It is most often used to treat constipation, but it seems to work equally well in preventing loose stools. It is convenient and easy to take. Take it any time of the day, with or without food. It doesn't need to be refrigerated, but I do keep each capsule in it's foil packet until I take it. I have tried cheaper products and they just do not work as well. I have tried more expensive ones and they do not work any better. Everyone I suggest it to becomes a fan of this product.

Well, it killed the "good" bacteria in my gut and contributed to a severe intestinal infection called c. difficile, which is potentially fatal. Thankfully, my physician recognized what was happening, put me on another medication and recommended probiotics.
I did some research and found Florastor and another product called Culturelle. Have been taking both for two weeks and feel better than I've felt in years. The GI infection is gone, I have more energy, and am now as regular as a 23-yr. old.

I started taking it with my evening meal. This product has worked wonders for me! It took about 2-3 weeks before I noticed a difference, but I no longer feel bloated or gassy in the evenings, and have even been able to indulge in beans on occasion, without the awful side effects I once had. I should mention that I also take medication for an under active thyroid, am female, age 46. I noticed no side affects whatsoever. I have been taking it for about a month and a half now, am thrilled with the results, and will continue buying this product.
Also, I noticed on this site it says for adults to take two capsules twice a day with meals, but on the actual bottle it says take one capsule daily with a meal, which is what I do.

As for the reviewer above who stated they had been taking it for three weeks and still had Candida, OF COURSE YOU DO. It takes several months to fully get a good case of candida under control. The literature that comes with the product explains this. The product is pleasant tasting and easy to take. It also suggests that you take a fiber supplement to help cleanse the colon of the dead and dying candida organisms. This is very helpful and I recommend it.
