(More customer reviews)I just bought this "Flents Glass Eye Cup" and found that it leaks fluid like crazy. I uploaded a picture here to clearly illustrate what this little bugger looks like since the photo the seller provides is too small to see the eye cup at all.
It has a flat rim, unlike the eye cup my parents had when I was a kid. Their eye cup had a stem and looked like a beefy miniature wine glass. Its rim was contoured and fitted snugly into the eye socket. That design made a pretty good fluid seal (we used cold tap water) while the cup was held to the eye and the head tipped upward to wash the eye.
This cup is totally different. It's like a half-sized oblong shot glass. It has no stem and the rim is flat. When I tried to use it most of the water leaked out around the rim and ran down my chin, flowed under my shirt and down my chest and navel. Needless to say the inside of my shirt was wet!
I'm going to find the old style eye cup like the one my parents had. I know that works well and doesn't make a mess.
Perhaps if one is traveling and wants to take along an eye cup then this product may have some merit, but my recommendation is to pass on this eye cup and go for the stemmed variety.
