Yummi Bears Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Review

REVIEW FOR ORIGINAL FLAVOR YUMMI BEARS
Not all gummi bear vitamins are created equal. Some require two bears per dose, some require four bears. This one found a happy medium at three bears. My kids are happy they get one more bear than they did with our last gummi vitamin.
Some gummi vitamins only contain vitamins. This one contains vitamins and minerals. That extra bear lets them squeeze in more ingredients and make it a more complete supplement.
Some gummi vitamins taste horrible. This one is not too sweet, a tiny bit sour, and a little fruity. My children love the flavor. I don't think it's too bad myself.
PROS:
+ a more complete supplement than other brands
+ good flavor, children like it
CONS:
- three bears per dose
- children like it, so be careful to store it safely or they may eat it all in one sitting
SUMMARY
Since I use supplements as sort of a safety net for my picky eater, the more complete the supplement, the better. The fact the kids like it is a plus. I would buy this again.

Gymnema- Gurmar- Gymnema Sylvestre - For Sugar Destroyer Review

Gymnema- Gurmar- Gymnema Sylvestre - For Sugar Destroyer
Average Reviews:

This product was demonstrated and recommended by Dr. Oz to combat sugar consumption. We know manufacturers and distributors use terms we may not be familiar with to hide sugar in their products. Even though I am getting away from adding white sugar to my family's meals I'm sure we are still getting some. There were no weird side affects mentioned. I've been taking the supplement for over a week. I don't see any noticeable change. I plan to keep taking the product. This was the best price on the internet. The service was very prompt. I received a $5.00 coupon toward my next order.

OK, so it's a little ridiculous, but my kids love it. Its candy to them, yes, but it's also a great way to get 250mg of vitamin c in them. Check the content of vit. c in most kids vitamins... its a fraction of what is in here. Check out their multi-vitamin gummie sours too. My kids also love those.

New Chapter Organics Perfect Prenatal Full Trimester Vitamin Tablets, 270-Count Review

New Chapter Organics Perfect Prenatal Full Trimester Vitamin Tablets, 270-Count
Average Reviews:

This is a wonderful vitamin that I've been using long-term, with no stomach upset.
I assumed that buying the larger count would mean savings per pill, but not so in this case. I compared the cost per pill of this 270-count version against the 180-count version, and at least on this site as of today, the 180-count version is cheaper per pill. Do the math before you decide which to buy.

Nature Made Iron 65mg, Equivalent to 325 mg Ferrous Sulfate - 300 Tablets Review

Nature Made Iron 65mg, Equivalent to 325 mg Ferrous Sulfate - 300 Tablets

I prefer this brand of iron supplements. They do not flush out of your system quickly, and they are affordable. Since I have used these in conjunction with my multi-vitamin my hair has grown faster, white marks on my fingernails have disappeared, I don't freeze all of the time, and I'm not as exhausted during my workouts. I recommend that any woman that is of a child-bearing age take these. Blood tests showed that the iron level in my blood was good, and all of these above listed symptoms persisted. No doctor ever recommended that I take an iron pill. Taking this supplement has benefitted me more than any vitamin or supplement I've ever taken.

Apex Medi Tray, 4 Times Per Day, 7 Days Per Week Review

Apex Medi Tray, 4 Times Per Day, 7 Days Per Week
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is exactly the right size for me for the amount of medications I ever expect to take. At first, I had trouble getting the compartments to open.
The problem is that by pressing your finger or thumb against the side of the box to slide up to catch the edge of the lid where it sticks out for opening, you are pressing in on the side keeping the little projection on the lid that holds it shut from popping out of the little depression inside that it needs to pop out of. Sorry that I can't describe that better.
The manufacturer tries to guide you around this by having an arrow and the word "LIFT" imprinted on the _corner_ of the lid to direct you away from putting pressure on the middle of the side and blocking your own efforts. If you limit your contact to the end or corner of the lifting tab it works fine.
Some "hot rodding" suggestions for those of you who want to improve your pill cases. First, when it's time to reload, I just twist the entire four compartment section to get all four to open at once. Then I make sure all the lids are exactly straight up. That way, when I put it back in the base, its lids don't block the next compartments over. With all 28 compartments open I can load up a week surprisingly fast.
Additional loading suggestions. Have any simple med/large pair of tweezers handy. Pills sometimes bounce out of one compartment to another.
Fastest loading, I've found, is to either get a small round bottom cup or use the palm of your hand. Pour a little more than the amount of pills you expect to need into it. Then hold that next to each compartment as you go by. Going back and forth to piles of pills to the side turns out to be the most time consuming part of the operation. Take the pills to the boxes.
Since I plan for accidents, I put a convenient size rubber band going around the length of each days set. When they are in the storage base, I put it around horizontally just under the lids so it doesn't get in the way of putting the loaded set of boxes back into the base.
When I take the day's set out for bedside or to go with me away from home, I move the rubber band around to cover the open sides of the lids about 6mm/quarter inch in from the open side. This gives a sort of "spring loaded" effect to the lids. If I drop the box on the floor, everything stays inside. But it's easy to hold the lid open against the pressure of the band.
When a day is empty, I leave the band vertical and wedge the box back in the base. That makes it easy to separate the used from the ready to go. (I confuse easy.) If you need to separate some boxes from others, I would suggest coloring the _INSIDE_ of the lids with permanent markers in different colors. That way the colors won't wipe off as easily.
Good luck, three more will let me do a month at a time. I've been wanting this for a long time.

Apex Ultra Pill Splitter Review

Apex Ultra Pill Splitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product works best if you're cutting a hard, medium- or large-sized, round pill in half. It keeps the pill in place with a rubber grip while you're cutting it, and then neatly contains the two halves in a compartment.
However, if you're cutting a pill into quarters, things become more difficult. It is hard to position a pill half in the splitter so that evenly split quarters are obtained. The blade is covered by plastic, which confers a blunting effect that tends to crush or chip some pills, especially small or soft ones.
Despite the crushing effect of the blade's plastic cover, this product is very safe. You do not need to worry about cutting your fingers on the blade while positioning a pill.
Another difficulty when using this product is cutting large, oblong pills. It is difficult to position the pill so that the blade splits the pill evenly, regardless of whether you are attempting to split down the long axis or the short axis. Some oblong pills do not even fit in the splitter so that they can be split down the short axis.
Finally, while this product is quite useful for cutting certain kinds of pills, it is a bit on the expensive side, especially considering its limitations.
