Icy Hot Extra Strength Pain Relieving Chill Stick 1.75 oz (49 g) Review

The problem with creams like this is that they are kind of like superglue. No matter how careful you are to get the product only in the place that it is needed, somehow it gets on your fingers. After that, all it takes is a single touch to your face, mouth, or other "sensitive" areas and you'll find out first hand how pepper spray feels.
The deodorant-style packaging allows you to apply it without getting it on your hands, which is such a great innovation you'll wonder why they sell it any other way. Add to that the nice peppermint smell that this particular brand has, and you've got yourself a winner!

Icy Hot Medicated Pain Relief Spray 4 fl oz (118 ml) Review

I just got back from buying this. It was a .75 mile walk back. I was testing it to see how it sprayed and sprayed my foot. AHHH...It felt so good. I sprayed my sore knee with it and got instant relief! I smell like a bottle of mouthwash, but there are worse things I could smell like. It is very cooling. An added bonus is it clears your sinuses :). The smell is dampened by clothing. I am in heaven right now.

Icy Hot Extra Strength, Medicated Patch, Back & Large Areas 5 ea Review

Icy Hot Extra Strength, Medicated Patch, Back and Large Areas 5 ea
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Several years ago, I had a serious back sprain that landed me in the ER--and then confined to a recliner for 10 days. I was in excruciating pain and was on pain killers.
Ever since then, I seem susceptible to back sprains that can sometimes leave me out of commission for almost a week. These Icy Hot patches helped me with me first back injury, but now I use them anytime I get a sprain. They provide noticeable relief--at first feeling cool to numb the pain (methol) and then feeling hot which feels relaxing.
These flexible patches are breathable, so you don't have to worry about them getting sweaty especially in hot temperatures. They stay on for a long time and sometimes, I forget I have them on!
The package says that each Icy Hot Patch works up to 8 hours, but I've had mine on for 12 or longer. They also recommend that you don't use more than 4 times a day.
In addition to muscle strains, sprains and spasms, these patches are also good for:
*Bursitis
*Tendonitis
*Arthritis
*Bruises
The active ingredient is menthol, so do know that it has that "Ben Gay" type of smell.
In each box, there are 5 large patches in a re-sealable pouch. And, because these particular patches are larger, you can use them for other large areas BESIDE the back, such as thighs and calfs.
Icy Hot Patches provide such relief (combined with ibuprofen!) and I always make sure we have a few on hand, just in case. Highly recommended!

Icy Hot Extra Strength Pain Relieving Balm 3.5 oz (99.2 g) Review

Icy Hot Extra Strength Pain Relieving Balm 3.5 oz (99.2 g)

Most of these pain relieving creams are very similar to each other. They all have some form of pepper-based irritant that draws blood to the area, and something like menthol that gives a sensation of cooling. They work pretty well for the dull, localized pain of aching muscles, not so well with sharp pains from injuries.
This is the main brand I use because I like the peppermint smell. Some of them are quite bad smelling, which just seems unnecessary. Why subject yourself (and others) to that when this one smells good?
I recommend applying this with some inexpensive disposable gloves, though. Otherwise it will get on your hands and one wrong touch to your face or other sensitive areas will be painful.
