The tips, advice, etc. promised are nowhere to be found in this book.
The author has padded the length of his book with an excessive number of blank endsheets, leading the reader to believe that this book is more in depth or complete than the small booklet available from Supreme.
Save your money and stick with Supreme!

An authentic guide for conferring the ceremonial in its proper form. The text of this ritual was prepared to assist Officers memorize their parts prior to conferring the ceremonial. It is not a substitute for the official Ceremonial Book permanently kept in the strongbox of Councils, which includes additional instruction irrelevant to this guide. However, the full ritual text is contained therein, and has been reviewed by several Officers to assure that it is verbally accurate. This book is the first part of what will eventually become a series on guide books for Knights of Columbus. It is the only authentic guide available, as other works claiming to give our ceremonial are spurious and grossly inaccurate.

It shows the authors true intent which was not benefits from his membership but exploiting it for profit.
No matter when it was written it still should be taken off of Amazon in respect for the membership of the Knights of Colombus.

Though these two compliments may seem to be at odds with each other, I find that none of the salient points from other books have been omitted, making this the book of choice when time is at a premium.

This is a comprehensive account of how the anti-Catholicism of the early 20th century was vigorously countered by the Knights of Columbus's "Fourth Degree." In this study, Christopher Kauffman presents the story of the widespread attack upon Catholics' loyalty to the nation, and the explicit rendering of Catholic patriotism that arose in response to it. In competition with organizations which fostered historical memories exclusive of Catholics and immigrants, and which frequently portrayed the Knights of Columbus in the vanguard of "Vatican Imperialism" in the United States, the Fourth Degree, Patriotism, was founded to assert a distinctively Catholic historical memory. Such symbols of "republicanism" as "the little red school house," were regarded by these anti-Catholic groups as emblematic of the necessary training for citizenship, as opposed to the "Vatican dominated" parochial schools with their alleged conspiracy against national institutions and the democratic spirit.
