Coverlet Eye Occlusor, Junior Size, 20 Pads Review

The Coverlet eye patch is by far the the best on the market. We patch our daughter's eye for 3 hours a day due to a congenital cataract. The removal is easy and painless, additionally the patch does not leave any adhesive residue or tear at the sensitive skin around the eye.

Nexcare Opticlude Orthopic Eye Patches, Junior Size - 20 count Review

I started out using the coverlet brand for my 4yr old who is the size of a 2yr old. They stuck really well but the junior size is not available in any store near us so I went to search online and found these Nexcare pads and decided to try them out. They do fit my daughter (ideal for 2yrs and under) and they do stay on for the most part; however, the coverlets stick MUCH better and I also found a new brand called ORTOPAD that is really cool with cool designs and sticks a little better than the Nexcare but still not as well as the Coverlets but is for sure nicer and in my opinion, a better deal for the price. The ortopad's come in boxes of 50 vrs 20 and have a varity of styles to choose from. Hope this helps someone.

Curad Eye Patch 20 ea Review

Curad Eye Patch 20 ea

Our son has amblyopia and must be patched 4 hours per day. The first patch we used was from a set of free samples that the doctor gave us. They had a beige colored cloth backing and the adhesive irritated his skin terribly. They were very difficult to remove as well. The next type we tried were NexCare. They had a paper backing, were much easier to remove, and did not irritate his skin. When I went to the store to get a new box, they only had the Curad brand. These are even better than the NexCare. They are so much easier to remove that my son asks for them specifically by brand name. The NexCare adhere a little bit better, but since he doesn't pick at the edges, it's not a problem. Anyone who has trouble with irritating adhesive can try a light layer of Pepto Bismol or Calamine (NOT Caladryl) lotion.
