(More customer reviews)I'm now 87, soon to be 88 years old. A few months ago somehow I got a terrible infection on my elbow and, at the same time, a horrible infection on the lobe of my ear. My ear looked like it had a small strawberry grafted on it and I was very scared. My doctor gave me a shot and a prescription ointment, which we used as directed; but neither infection was responding and we were planning for the worst. As if things weren't bad enough, I was lying around a lot because I felt so poorly and I got a bedsore on one hip (due to a bad lung, I can only lay on one side). It was a big purple area with a sore in the middle and it felt like someone was poking me with a pin all the time. My daughter brought me a tube each of Petroactil and Polyactil. The infections just got better and better and went away. My bedsore regained normal color and quit hurting within a few days and then the middle just got OK. Since I always lay on that side of my body, it has come back a couple of times, but I now start using Polyactil at first sign of the bedsore and fix it before it really starts. ThePolyactil also makes the arthritis in my fingers feel better. Aging is a tough adventure and we find ourselves using the Polyactil and Petroactil for all sorts of issues now. V. Phillips

Ezy Dose 4 a Day Weekly Med-control Tray Review

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a larger than average 7 day, 3 or 4 compartment per day vitamin organizer. And I wanted individual and/or rounded containers I could still fit in a small pocket when I go off to lunch. This is the closest I could find, and though each compartment is kinda sharp edged, they're small enough so that isn't much of a bother. Maybe I'll take a nail file to the corners...
The case that holds all 28 little boxes is well made and feels fairly tough. The text printed on it seems durable, and there are round holes under each box that make it easy to pop them out of the container with a finger tip. The compartments stay put pretty well in the container when you open them, which is good.
The individual boxes aren't quite as sturdy, probably about average for this sort of container. They're at least half again larger than the usual 7 sticks of four compartment version. The one flaw in the quality is that the printing on the individual boxes comes off *very* easily. On the other hand, I don't like all that printing on the boxes anyway, so I just scrubbed all the text off with a kitchen sponge.
Each compartment's internal dimensions are 5/8" x 1" x 1.5" tall (15mm x 26mm x 38mm tall) and the storage box with all the boxes inside is 4 1/4" x 9 5/8" x 1 3/4" tall (10.8cm x 24.4cm x 4.4cm tall.) The individual boxes hold 4 to 6 horse pills, or 10-16 smallish capsules, or 60-70 baby aspirin (don't take them all at once kids.)
So, it's very easy to use and seems like it will hold up well, but if you want the text on the boxes to stay nice and pretty, or if you want rounded corners, this one isn't for you. But it's more convenient for what I need than anything else out there, and believe you me, I did too much googling.

(More customer reviews)I have used this product for the past year and was completely satisfied. Mixing it with fruit and juice made for a delicious shake that was perfect during lunch. Recently, however, they have begun using a new vendor and the taste has changed from mildly grassy, which is easily covered up in a smoothie, to very strong mint flavor. This mint flavor is impossible to cover up or combine in a smoothie and makes this product difficult to get past my taste buds. The label shows no changes but the company told me that it was just a different blend from a new vendor...yet the ingredient list is identical. I can't imagine how the ingredient list could not change as the flavor went from no detectable mint to extremely minty. Drinking this product can be likened to drinking toothpaste....not palatable! Shame...maybe they will switch back but for now they have lost my business. I advise you to find another phytofood brand!

Simply Saline Sterile Saline Nasal Mist Review

(More customer reviews)I moved into a new house over a year ago and suffered months of long and sleepless nights due to congested, stuff up noses that made it impossible to breath through my nose and made it hard for me to go to sleep because of how prominent the blockage felt (A doctor friend of mine guessed that I have a deviated septum as well as Chronic congestion/sinusitis).
I tried manual solutions (breathe right strips); electric mechanical solutions (humidifer and air purifier) and chemical solutions (pills)--purchasing many of these on Amazon. Though I felt they alleviated the situation some, it was not sufficient to reduce the discomfort and free up nose breathing so I could get to sleep easy.
One night I literally went through almost two boxes of tissues, blowing my nose constantly only to go to bed, fill stuffed and uncomfortable again, and have to get up and blow my nose again, time after time. The next day I searched for a better on the spot solution than the nasal spray I had been using and came across this spray and one Xlear saline nasal spray.
I find both are effective at immediately ceasing congestion and opening up my nose passage ways so I can breath through them and not have to deal with the discomfort of blockage. Between this and Xclear, I prefer the Simply Saline first. With both, it's easy to "overdose" with them as when my nose is blocked, I can't initially feel the mist/spray in my nose (and thus, would keep squeezing or spraying more than I should).
With the simply saline, I did not feel any effects from accidentally spraying continually. But from the Xclear I did, my one nostril felt really dry (that it needed moisture) and irritated. It went away in 15 minutes and I could breathe through the passage but the irritation was quite noticeable.
For me, what works is to press down or squeeze and count to nor more than "a thousand two" (starting with a thousand one) and then pull out, releasing my squeeze or pressing down as I pull out.
I keep the Simply Saline in the house and the Xclear in my car. I would have no trouble using either. But my habit was become to use Simply Saline because of the overdose experience and that, once the feelings do kick in, the Simply Saline spray feels soothing while the Xclear seems to provide no feeling (unless you overdose). Just your nose will suddenly be clear/mostly clear and breathable.
I will be putting up an article of the different products I tried in fighting my sinus/nasal congestion, blockage.

I followed the instructions and put 3-4 drops in my ear and then kept it tilted for a bit and put a cotton ball in it for 5 minutes. Before I used them I couldn't blow my nose or relieve pressure without there being pain in my right ear. After I used it I could do both with no pain. I'm not prone to earaches so I don't know much about them, but it was great to get such fast relief from one.
