(More customer reviews)My mother has painful arthritis in her hands, and we were unable to give her some of the usual medications because of side effects and drug interactions. We tried Boiron's Arnica gel, and it takes the edge off of her pain. She has used it for her hands. for sprains, and while rehabilitating from broken bones, and says that it makes her pain bearable. She often uses it when pain keeps her up at night, and it allows her to sleep. We have found no negative effects except that it is painful when used on broken skin (eg, small cuts or sores). Unlike other rubs, it has no scent. I use it myself after exercising. I don't know if it works for everyone, but I recommend trying it! (I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not remove the pain entirely).

A friend of mine in Nova Scotia was always going on about Alpenkraft syrup. (More customer reviews)My (17 month old) has been suffering from allergies/a cold (severe coughing, fever etc. brought on by the mucous draining non-stop down her throat) for the past couple of weeks and it has been BRUTAL. I generally try not to have to give herTylenol Inf Cherry Drops 1oz 1 eachunless unavoidable and though I have been giving her this product consistently, tonight we went for the tylenol. She seems to like the taste of the drops and takes them happily and I generally notice improved mood within about 30 minutes. She gets less clingy/irritable and the cough seems to lessen. My issue is that after about 2 hours she is back to where she was on the cranky scale. The product says to only take it every 4 hours but it wears off after 2. I am happy for those two hours though and when it works it does a great job. I think the next time she has a cold though I will start withHyland's - C Plus Cold Tablets Childrens, 125 tablets because those have consistently done well to help her colds and only use this stuff if it gets more severe.
Bottom line,
1) It does work, but it wears off before the next dose is due.
2) It tastes well
3) It is homeopathic

With most diet products costing anywhere from $25 to $35 and up I noticed the resonable $19.00 price tag (and that's for a 2 pack!) and decided to investigate further. I knew I was going to have to get something as summer was coming and my will power to kick start a diet is pathetic. I was trying another product which cost almost $40 but had so much caffeine in it I had to throw it out as it had made me cranky, fussy, sleepless and just plain mean. As I looked at this product I saw it was homeopathic with no ephedra or caffeine. Sounded too good to be true but with my desperation and with the products low price tag I thought I'd give it a shot.
First off, let me say I NEVER fill out these reviews when I buy from Amazon, but I am SO amazed with this product I felt I had to share. Not only does NaturalCare provide a diet aid that doesn't make me nervous, jittery, edgy or angry it provides a product I don't notice at all, except that I am simply not hungry. I don't know how to describe it other than that. Because there are no side effects and I didn't "feel" the product working for the first few days I thought it was another waste of money until I stopped and realized something: I wasn't hungry. I just wasn't. I actually had to remind myself to eat a little something to keep my metabolism going. I now keep some low carb/high protien bars around and dried fruit and nibble on it through out the day but otherwise that fighting myself standing at the open refridgerator door is gone. The resentful lunches with friends watching them eat burgers and pasta while I have ONE MORE SALAD are over. No hunger pains, no sweet cravings, and no sudden drop in effectiveness leaving me looking up from an empty bag of potato chips wondering what happened. So far I have lost 10 pounds and have been using the product for three weeks. It is simply the easiest, most non-intrusive diet aid I have ever used (and as a 40 year old man who has been over weight almost my whole life I have tried EVERYTHING) and I have all of my curious friends and family trying it as well. I obviously highly recommend it and I am looking into what other products NaturalCare provides.

I have tried many alternative vitamin and herbal products for him while trying to keep him off prescription drugs for his adhd. He couldn't control his impulses in school. Constantly talking,making noises,always out of his seat, not listening to teacher and refusing to complete his work. He couldn't concentrate and was prone to temper tantrums.

(More customer reviews)I understand where the first commentater with the 1-star rating may be coming from. However, the user must understand how this Homeopathic medicine works. Arnica Montana does exactly what it says, only not like Allopathic drugs. Used in conjunction with the Arnica Gel when an injury has occured - bruising, swelling and pain is essentially minimalized or stopped. The pellets work internally, and are gentle, the gel works topically with no odor or stickiness.
This combination is what i use for myself and my children- twin boys under 2yrs old, who are constantly getting bumps and falls. Just over the weekend, my son ran out a slider door onto a concrete patio , landed flat on his forhead. We immediately used Arnica Gel and pellets on the heavily dented area on his forhead that was starting to swell, and continued that every hour or so for the next day as needed, and my son had virtually no swelling and no bruising.
I personally use the pellets if my muscles are sore, I describe their effectiveness by : after taking them, i go about my day, and notice later on that i haven't had a complaining thought about the pain i was feeling before...i do find i take more doses than i would an nsaid, but it works.

If you follow instructions (adults: 2 tsp x every 4 hrs + 10-15 min of no strong flavor in your mouth before and after intake), you should expect to stop coughing after second-third use, depending on your condition. I was coughing non-stop for almost two weeks before I stumbled upon this wonder-syrup. I found the best way is to take it before and after sleep.
If you are a smoker (one of my friends is), you may see a delay in results, but nevertheless the results are there! Another good idea is to take it along with Wellness Formula from Source Naturals. Just be careful with dosage of that product.
Would I recommend this product to my friends and family??? Are you kidding? I already did and everyone is absolutely grateful for it. Extremely good thing to have before the winter season starts. So far 100% positive results.
UPDATE (2/2/2011): After some time I noticed it's effectiveness has gone down. Not sure what to attribute this to yet, but that's the fact. Switched to also 100% natural ColdBuster warming Syrup.

I'm not comfortable with the idea of giving him cold medicine anyway, so I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did! Within 24 hours he barely had any cold symptoms. His runny nose disappeared, he's no longer sneezing, he can actually breathe, and his appetite has returned. He does have a bit of a dry cough now which unfortunately this does not treat. Best of all, the pills are small, dissolve easily and he seems to enjoy the taste. I'm going to give him the Chestal Honey Cough Syrup and hope it works as well as the Coldcalm. Highly recommended.

Gave her five pellets of Sinusalia (we prefer the pellets to the tablets, like another reviewer) after she sat up and asked for them, based on her perception that they made a big difference last night (I hadn't really remembered that, though I was trying every trick in the book, so she could sleep). She dropped the 5 pellets into her mouth.
Five minutes--yes, FIVE MINUTES--later, she is asleep, breathing absolutely silently and clearly through her nose, something that sounded and seemed impossible only 10 minutes ago.
This stuff is AMAZING. And without side effects or any negative drug-related effects. I'm sold.

After researching what was available I choose this one, as I've used Boiron remedies for years and it seemed to include a good selection of what you'd need for traveling or dorm life!
It's about the size of a thick trade paperback, very well padded with a nice zipper and includes twenty 30c remedies. Many of the basic ones you'd need for colds, flu's, stomachaches or injuries. It even has a little booklet with the remedies listed and what each are for.
The price is very reasonable too, just the remedies alone cost more then this kit. Great to carry when you travel or to add to that care package for your college student.

I had this heavy cough, like I wasn't coughing up anything, but I could tell that there was something that was hiding in my throat.........After the FIRST DOSE, I began to feel the mucus in my nose move and I started actually blowing stuff out of my nose for once. After a couple more doses, my cough became productive. I have been on this stuff for a few days now and I think that my congestion is just about taken care of. Now I still have a nagging cough, but it has become less and less frequent. I think that it will eventually go away whenever my body has finished clearing everything out. I had already been to the doctor, who gave me antibiotics and a bunch of tylenol-guaifenesin-phenylephrine tablets. The antibiotics helped, but the tablets helped only marginally and did not break up the congestion. Chestal did. I have never written a review on a product; I just got online to find out where to get more so that I'm prepared for the next time I'm sick (my boyfriend brought this product to me -- he also gave me this bug in the first place). If you're contemplating whether or not to try this, just go for it. You have nothing to lose. Plus it has no nasty taste to it! Remember to take it as directed -- I had to put it in my backpack so that I wouldn't skip any doses while in class all day long! Oh, yeah, and I'm in pharmacy school. WebMD and the Mayo Clinc.com or wherever else you look won't endorse homeopathic remedies because pharmaceutical companies don't make money off of people purchasing them. And just because there hasn't been a formal study on the use and effectiveness on the product does NOT mean that it doesn't work. Do your own research and find out what is safe and effective for you. TRY IT. That's all.
