The only piece missing was an updated version. Hence, that is on its way to being published in September of 2000. After months of research, this is by far the best directory I have encountered.

Over the course of a flu bug it really reduces the time they feel ill. Besides having them chew the tablet you can dissolve it in a little amount of water and get the same results. I use the dissolve method quite often, as my little one when feeling ill refuses the tablet but will drink water.

After researching what was available I choose this one, as I've used Boiron remedies for years and it seemed to include a good selection of what you'd need for traveling or dorm life!
It's about the size of a thick trade paperback, very well padded with a nice zipper and includes twenty 30c remedies. Many of the basic ones you'd need for colds, flu's, stomachaches or injuries. It even has a little booklet with the remedies listed and what each are for.
The price is very reasonable too, just the remedies alone cost more then this kit. Great to carry when you travel or to add to that care package for your college student.

I like Cherry Vicks but they weren't working for me, and they are mostly candy. My friend says Botano Throat lozenges taste a little like raisins, which I think is accurate. They are good - sweet, no menthol, and not a bit like Vicks.
Anyway, I had been coughing for about 2 weeks. It started as a cold, went into my chest, and then didn't go away. I switched to the Botano Throat lozenges and it stopped my cough, which went away for good in about 2 days. This stuff is a little more expensive, but compare that to a week or 2 of coughing. It's worth it.

I do have diabetes in my family and I took this product to see if I would feel any difference; I have sugar cravings and I was hoping this would waylay that. I can say I don't "crave" sugar anymore. But that may be a placebo effect as well. I think if you have diabetes, this product is supposed to be the "cure" and I would encourage people to try it. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

After going to several doctors, including specialists, for several months, I eventually started taking prescription medication to control my symptoms. The medication worked, but did not fix my core problems. Add to that, they had nasty side effects. After a couple of months on medication, I decided to go the "herbal way" and stopped taking the medicines. After some research, and seeing a medical doctor who recommended it, I came to buy slippery elm bark (SEB).
I purchased this specific brand from Swanson. When I called to place my order, they are recommended several other things I could take. The price is low, so the product is very affordable. It contains nothing else, other than gelatin ( for the capsule). This specific product is meant to be taken orally because of its consistency, but many other forms are available. The pills are small and easy to swallow, and the bottle comes with clear nutritional and dosage information.
After three months of taking the products, my symptoms not only receded, but it also corrected my GI problems- too gross to mention here. Although I no longer take the product regularly, I highly recommend considering it to people with GI problems. It did wonders for me. Please consult your physician first.

(More customer reviews)Insomnia has been a problem for me for about 4 years. It has been hard to go to sleep, and almost impossible to return to sleep if I woke up during the night. I did not want to use the standard drugs available because of potential side effects. This product is easily the 7th that I have tried, including homeopathic, other herbal, plain melatonin, teas, white sound machine, and even alcohol. (The alcohol would put me to sleep, but I would wake up in about 3 hours, and often be done for the night!)
SleepLink is composed of herbs, vitamins, and amino acids except for the melatonin. I checked the recommended safe dosage for melatonin, and the 2 capsule per dose recommendation on the bottle is within safe limits for melatonin.
Everyone is unique, and different products work for different people, but this one works for me. It is necessary for me to take it about 1 hour before bedtime in order to feel sleepy when I need to go to bed. So far, I have used this product every night for about 2 weeks, so have no information about whether I can start using it "only occasionally" instead of every night.
