Chapter 4, "The Power of Your Words" is worth the price of this book. While I was reviewing this book I was going through a time that I was a little discouraged or maybe a better way to state it is to say that I was weary, tired, and just in need of a new perspective. I went to dinner just before an important meeting and I took this book along. I was on chapter 4 and I was reminded that what God says is what we are to focus on and not on what the world around us would have us believe. In this chapter he speaks about the importance of the words that we say, they way that we think and the words that we share with others. There is power in our spoken words and there is ultimate power in speaking the Words of God. The author give the illustration of flying in a plane and he is in fog. The plane begins to travel fast toward the ground and his thought is, I'm going to crash and die. Then he remembers that he can fly the plane through following the "Instrument Panel." God's Word is our instrument panel, when the world says we can't, God says we can. When the world gets us down we need to read Gods Word to see what He has to say and that is truth we can follow.
This chapter was just what I needed for that moment and what we all need to pattern our lives after. However this book is full of great information on all of the following topics as well.
