Zero Degree Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I will admit very honestly that I could not finish this book. I made it haltingly until the half way point at which time I abandoned it completely. It is not a boring book nor is it slow. It is just that oddball book that never made much sense to me, nor did it appear coherent at any point of time.
The author who writes in my native Tamil language is well known and I was curious to read one of his translated works.
If you want to read a book unlike any other, and I stress, unlike any other, try this one out. It is just out there aAnd totally didn't work for me.

With its mad patchwork of phone sex conversations, nightmarish torture scenes, tender love poems, numerology, mythology, and compulsive name-dropping of Latin American intellectuals, Charu Nivedita's novel Zero Degree stands out as a groundbreaking work of Tamil transgressive fiction that unflinchingly probes the deepest psychic wounds of humanity.
