Enfamil Fer-In-Sol Iron Supplement Drops for Infants & Toddlers, 15 mg , 1.67 fl oz (50 ml) (Pack of 2) Review

Enfamil Fer-In-Sol Iron Supplement Drops for Infants and Toddlers, 15 mg , 1.67 fl oz (50 ml) (Pack of 2)

My 2 yr old was diagnosed w/ "borderline iron-deficient anemia". My Dr prescribed Fer-In-Sol 6ml, 3x a day, for 6 weeks.
It has a slight taste, so my child was NOT fooled when I tried to hide it in foods, etc. I gave it directly in my childs mouth and then chased it w/orange juice (vitamin C promotes iron absorbtion). I also insisted on tooth-brushing after EVERY dosage to minimize staining of the teeth.
My childs teeth DID get a slight greyish tint to them. However, the discoloring went COMPLETELY away within 2 weeks after stopping the Fer-In-Sol.
My childs blood-level was normal after 6 weeks of taking this stuff.

My wife hasn't used any other Lanolin products, but I doubt she ever will. It is soothing to her nipples, 100% lanolin, and safe for my baby - you don't have to wash it off like some other products! We recommend this product to any nursing mother!

Enfamil Tri-Vi-Sol Supplement Drops, Vitamins A, D & C with Iron for Infants & Toddlers 1.66 fl oz ( Review

My EBF baby was on Enfamil vitamin D supplements and took those well. After 6 months and just starting solids, his pediatrician recommended iron supplements. I first got the enfamil infant multivitamin and he HATED it. Fought me and would spit it out. Then I found this. While he doesn't love it, he doesn't fight me at all. A perfect solution!

Lansinoh 20265 Disposable Nursing Pads, 60-Count Boxes (Pack of 4) Review

Lansinoh 20265 Disposable Nursing Pads, 60-Count Boxes (Pack of 4)

I hate nursing pads. I hate that they get all wrinkly and folded over if you have them in longer than five minutes, and how they're all heavy and yellow when you take them out. I hate that you can see them under your shirt, and that if you forget to change them you get chafed and sore. That said, I hate Lansinoh the least. I systematically tried every nursing pad made, from all price ranges and brands, and these are the least hateful. They modestly hide under your clothing, and let me go to work with my mind on my job, not my blouse. They're very absorbant, and don't leave you with that nasty damp feeling, even if you forget to change them for a bit.

Lansinoh 20435 Breastmilk Storage Bags, 25-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) Review

I have found these bags to be the best ones out there. They are thicker mm of plastic, have a double seal and a separate area to write on to avoid ink contamination. In my opinion, they are also much easier to pour to/from than other brands.
I also appreciate how they lay flat for more space-efficient storage. They have held up very well in my deep freeze in arctic temperatures!
I have used approximately 2,000 bags (seriously) and I have had only 9 that leaked. While I was sorry to lose those bags, I consider 9/2,000 to be pretty impressive odds.
These are more expensive than other ones out there, but I will pay that price to store my "liquid gold"!
If you are continually having difficulty with leaking bags, make sure you are freezing no more than 6 ounces at a time. Even though it looks like it will hold more, the milk will expand in the freezer. Also, you may want to freeze smaller quantities of milk so that there is less waste. You want to ensure that your baby will drink all that you defrosted, rather than having to discard it. I found it helpful to freeze some amounts in larger quantities, like 4 or 6 ounces and then smaller "top off" amounts for 2 or 3 ounces. Smaller amounts also less time to thaw...although this means you will use more bags. Also, don't drop them once they are frozen, which can also contribute to leaks.
