Cara Crutch Tips for 1 inch cane / Crutch - 2 Tips Review

Freezone Corn and Callus Remover Maximum Strength 0.31 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)Freezone removes corns and calluses. Corns and calluses are basically the same thing (thickening of the skin) just occurring in different places on the foot. If it occurs on the top of toes, a "corn". If it occurs on the bottom of your feet is a "callus". I have used Freezon a couple of times through the years, and recently had to use again to remove a callus on the bottom of my foot.
I applied Freezone for 6 days (per instructions). My callus was a bit larger than the size of a quarter. At the end of 6 days the callus was still there but its surface was "damaged" by freezone. The instructions said to soak the foot in hot water and see the callus peel away. I soaked, but the callus remained. I decided that because the callus was fairly large the new skin did not have time to form under the treated area. A week later I saw parts of the treated skin beginning to peel off. I removed it using a cheese grater-like implement (metal file callus reducer Dr. Scholl's Callus Reducer 1 ea) after soaking the foot in hot water. You have to be careful removing only the dead skin.
Once the first layer was peeled off, I still had a smaller callus remaining and had to repeat the treatment.
This is not a quick fix but it works. The treatment is a little painful (when you step on the callus being treated), but not too bad.
Update a week after the end of the second treatment:
Before the two treatments, I was reminded of the callus on every step as I felt a bit of pain. Now it has been a week since the end of the second treatment and I can report feeling no pain at all when I walk. The bottom of the foot feels soft and smooth. I am very pleased. The total time for both treatments took 20 days (6 days of treatment, 7 days of wait for the peeling, 6 days for the second treatment of the left over callus, 1 days for the wait for peeling).

(More customer reviews)Fantastic results!!! I've had a callus on my foot for two years, and had tried everything -- soaking, a pumice stone, you name it. When I read a review of Callus Blaster, I thought it sounded too good to be true, but it really does work. Directions say no more than twice/week, for no longer than 3 minutes. I followed directions exactly, with great results. It took about 8 weeks at 2x/week, but with absolutely no adverse side effects. The callus is just GONE. Would HIGHLY recommend this product --very safe, gentle, but effective.

From the FDA website: "Acrylamide forms from sugars and an amino acid (asparagine) during certain types of high-temperature cooking, such as frying, roasting, and baking." Get over it....

Tineacide Antifungal Cream, 1.25 Ounce Review

(More customer reviews)I am an asthmatic living in the desert - the doctors (and I've been to several) tell me this combination often results in dry feet like mine - my feet can crack enough without treatment to bleed. I've tried scores of products over the decades. My first success was with a mail order product (Miracle Foot Repair, still available) until they reduced the Aloe content by a third. Then, Eucerin worked well enough until they added water to make it creamier. The last doctor prescribed (previous prescriptions hadn't worked) a $50 Gordon Labs exfoliating cream that worked similarly. But, the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Foot Cream for Dry Rough Feet, 2-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 4) worked just as well (I hadn't put enough on at first - it must still be a little wet when you're done rubbing in on... and so, I put socks on to keep from sliding all over the floor). I was buying this product at a rate of eight tubes a year for a savings of over $300 a year compared to the prescription cream (not counting the doctor's fees).
Why am I talking about all these other products?
UPDATE: I'm cured! I no longer have to buy any of these mentioned products. What did it for me?!? I used Tineacide for 6 weeks. I guess I've had Athlete's foot for over 20 years (I don't feel completely stupid considering three podiatrists were unable to diagnose it). Do yourself a favor if you have very rough skin and just give Tineacide a try (must use for at least a month). What can you lose... except your dry cracking feet?

Zeasorb AF Super Absorbent Antifungal Powder 2.5 oz (70.9 g) Review

(More customer reviews)I've had what might be clinically described as an, ahem, overly sweaty crotch area for the past 30 something years. I started self treating it with corn starch (yes, recommended by Ken Kesey) and baby powder and then the Gold Bond products (regular in winter, extra strengh in summer), which worked just fine as long as I lived in the desert southwest (av. humidity 10%). Soon after I moved to Memphis (av humidity 70%), things went horribly out of control and I found myself in a dermotologists office displaying a truly world class example of (ahem) crotch rot. He said that the Gold Bond products were starch based and the local fungal critters just thrived on starch. Yum. He suggested Zeasorb-AF which has a talc (mineral) base and has really done the trick. Expensive though, at around $8.00 for 2.5 oz at Walgreens. But then, I'll pay anything. Anything.

My mother used to say "if your feet hurt, everything hurts"
To me it's uplifting to have a nice foot soak, and it makes the skin so soft.
I highly recommend this , especially if you're on your feet a lot or in heels .

Hua Tuo Gao Cream (K149) Chinese herbal medicine Review
