a) I don't believe I got over the cold any faster.
b) It removed cold symptoms very effectively.
c) It had an odd side effect on my voice.
In the end, Zicam wasn't very useful for my purpose, because it sort of dried out my voice. I'm not sure exactly how to describe the effect. However, I will probably buy it again, because it is very nice not to hack and sniff around people. Instead of dragging around a plethora of kleenex, cough drops, etc, you will carry around a few white gum balls. They do just fine in a pocket - no melting or residue or nasty things like that.
Nobody will know you have a cold, but you must continue to eat them according to the directions until the cold is gone, or the symptoms will return. And honestly, the taste isn't as bad as some reviews state. It's better than that medicine cherry cough syrup.

I dont smell anything at all anymore and I am able to walk past someone or sit next to someone without thinking they can smell it. I pride myself on personal hygiene and with BV no matter how much you wash you cant get rid of the smell, but with this product NO SMELL:)
