The Lawyer's Career Change Handbook: More Than 300 Things You Can Do With a Law Degree, Updated and Revised Review

The Lawyer's Career Change Handbook: More Than 300 Things You Can Do With a Law Degree, Updated and Revised
Average Reviews:

This book, like the one by Deborrah Aaron, is at first promising, but ends up as mere fluff. One such author spoke at my law school. Her advice was a joke and a waste of my time and money. These authors are all making money doing what? Selling these books and helping the rest of us "find our passion" in life. The law books are no different than any "resume builder book" you can find for 1/10 of the price. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! These law books all have one thing in common -- they take you through endless ridiculous skills assessments and other "exercises" designed to "identify your passions," "explore your skills," and have you making stupid charts listing all your best and worst qualities, etc., etc. What every lawyer who wants out of the legal profession wants to know is this: What are the viable jobs where having legal experience or a law degree are going to put me above the rest of the applicants? How do I find those jobs? What are the obstacles I am going to face in trying to get my name in front of the key hiring person? What are the ups and downs of each career? And most importantly, how do I go about getting my foot in the right door? I realize knowing your skills is important, but I can do that with a standard resume builder book for much less time and money.

America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree & How to Make the Most of Any Job, No Matter Where It Is Review

America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree and How to Make the Most of Any Job, No Matter Where It Is

A terrific resource for jobs you wouldn't have otherwise considered. But it is so outdated I find myself not trusting its accuracy. For example, it considers one $80,000 job the highest paying position available to first-year associates (that's inaccurate by about $70,000). Given inaccuracies like this, should I trust the basic information printed in the book, like the addresses for where I should send my resume? It is a great place to get ideas, but you'll have to double-check everything. A new edition would get 6 stars.

What Can You Do With a Law Degree?: A Lawyer's Guide to Career Alternatives Inside, Outside & Around the Law Review

What Can You Do With a Law Degree: A Lawyer's Guide to Career Alternatives Inside, Outside and Around the Law
Average Reviews:

This book was almost completely worthless.
Basically, the author's suggestions are along the lines of "With a law degree, you can be a doctor!!! Of course, you will have to go to med school first..."; "with a law degree, you can be a chemist!!! But you may have to go back to school and pick up some of those science and math courses you skipped in undergrad because you knew you were going to law school..."
I mean, yes, I already KNEW I could go and be WHATEVER, given the proper additional training and/or sufficiently low expectations ("a drug dealer...WITH A LAW DEGREE!!!"). What this book's title suggests is an anlysis of alternative career paths utilizing a law degree, and what it delivers is a worthless list of random jobs that you are at least not banned from by virtue of having a law degree. I admire the author for tapping into what is an almost genetic yearning in the legal profession to GET OUT (and thereby getting out herself), but as a useful tool, the book fails miserably.

Native Remedies Crave-Rx Drops for Reducing Nicotine Cravings (50ml) Review

Native Remedies Crave-Rx Drops for Reducing Nicotine Cravings (50ml)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Made cravings/fits manageable.
First 4 days was worst (15drops x 4 times+, & "bedtime!"!).
Was able to gradually cut down (as needed, after first 4 days).
First thing in the morning, was the most !important! (after two weeks, would "usually" last all day)!
I recommend you get 2 bottles (1st lasted about 3 weeks, 2nd lasts 2+ months). Taper off after... (4 weeks for me- 15 drops, 10 , then 5, ...).
Get off asap, as I feel it didn't help my grumpy mood!
GOOD TIPS!!!-
note: I did the "shotgun" approach (I did it "ALL..."!), to "Stop Smoking". IT "ALL" HELPED, & made it easier...!
1. Taper-off!- From Regular, to Light, to .1mg Ultra Light. Finally would take two puffs, and CRUSH it. Dump old butts, as they are TOO tempting!
2. Whenever I'd have a nicotine/hunger/sugar "fit..."- I would get "instant relief" by sucking on a "Werther's Original" hard candy (LOW calories. Taper off!)!
3.I also had some "initial" relief with a Homeopathic Medicine called "Smoking Withdrawal" by NATRA-BIO. Do not exceed recommended dosage (contains some kind of nicotine... You are just trading one kind of nicotine, for another- i.e. nico gum...)! "Taper off" (after first week..., for me). I'd try & avoid this, unless you have extreme fits!?
4. I also bought the inexpensive "Stop smoking in one hour" book & hypnosis CD set, from Amazon. It helped too!- you have to WANT to be hypnotized, or it won't work! i.e. "Positive thinking!"!
5. One other common unwelcome side-effect, when you stop smoking, Is "Weight Gain!"-
You MUST! stop "ALL" snacking, especially "AFTER DINNER!!!". For me, "snack withdrawal" was intense/difficult! The good thing is, that intense withdrawal only lasted 4 days.
You might want to stop snacking "before!" you quit smoking (both at once..., was the pits...!)! Hard candy!
6. Month two (Going good!, off ALL aids...)-
Helped some friends move. Afterwords, they were all having a cigarette & offered me "one" (looked soooo good!).
"FOOLISHLY!", I accepted (thought I deserved a treat & could handle "just one").
Now, the cravings... are back, like day three (doing ALL the aids... again!)! DRAT!!!
NEXT time- "I'LL PASS!, WHATEVER! the reason!"!
GOOD LUCK, and GOOD HEALTH!

Dr Frank's Joint & Muscle Pain Relief Oral Spray As Seen on Tv Review

First, the product did nothing for me. Of course that doesn't mean that it won't work for you. My complaint however, involves their very deceptive marketing practices. When you order on line they automatically send each month a new supply and charge your account as if you will be taking there product forever. In addition before checking out you are presented with the opportunity to get an extra bottle for what appears to be half price, when you get the bottle you find that is actually half the size. I would use extreme caution before giving these snake oil salesmen my credit info.

I got this for my 6yr old daughter she has asthma and allergies. The doctors wanted to keep her on flovent but she had bad side effects on it so I kept her away from it there are no other options for children other than inhalers and steriods not a fan of either at the moment so I had to figure out another plan. I searched it online and came across this, I was skeptical at first but thought it was worth the try. She does half a tube once daily, its tasteless which is great no fighting to take it! It does take awhile before you start noticing anything. I could tell there was less wheezing, heavy breathing and needing her nebulizer daily after about a month I will continue to buy it for her until they come up with something better than steriods and bad side effected inhalers. I would recommend this for anyone who wants an alternative but please don't throw out your regular medicine before trying this for awhile cause that would just be stupid.
