I have know about S.T. 37 for a long time. It is a wonderful product to keep in your medicine cabinet for first aid and other emergencies. I couldn't find it at the drug store and was happy to see it offered through Amazon.com. Best product for cleaning wounds, putting on a burn or sunburn.

Betadine Solution, Antiseptic 8 fl oz (237 ml) Review

Betadine Solution, Antiseptic 8 fl oz (237 ml)

Betadine is the gold standard of external disintectants. If you don't mind the strong smell of idodine there is nothing better to be had. I've used this since I was in a burn ward thirty years ago. I had 20% totla body burns and it kept me from infection over several months until the grafts totally healed. The solution is about 1/4 of the price of the skin cleanser and ideal for soaks, whether it be baths or just the affected part of the body (esp. good for surface infections like staph infections)

BFI Antiseptic First-Aid Powder - 1.25 oz Review

BFI Antiseptic First-Aid Powder - 1.25 oz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
UPDATE AFTER PURCHASE: PLEASE READ !!! THIS IS *NOT* WHAT YOU THINK IT IS!!!
The title of my original review was "There's NOTHING better than this"
And it read "I have used this for years... First as kids in my parents house and then for my own kids.
Have been guarding the last container like gold... soooo happy to have discovered it here anew! etc etc "
I even ordered not one but SIX bottles of the stuff from American Wholesaler, Brooklyn, NY
HOWEVER when I received it IT WASN'T THE SAME PRODUCT
The container IS SIMILAR BUT IS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT.
What I received is labelled "Soothing, Protective Powder Helps prevent chafing and irritation - Keeps skin drier"
The original product (the one pictured here as of Sept 10,2010) instead is "Antiseptic First-Aid Powder For CUTS, Chafing and minor abrasions"
If it was just the label, who cares... but the ingredient list is also different!!
IT DOES NOT CONTAIN the active ingredient which is the antiseptic ingredient.
Original:
Active Ingredient Bismuth-Formic-Iodine followed by Inactive Ingredients: Bismuth Subgallate, Boric Acid, etc
New One (the one on this listing)
Has NO active ingredient and the INGREDIENT order is different: Boric Acid, Magnesium Carbonate, Talc, etc
This stuff as listed is a fancy talcum powder like Goldbond, not the wonderful product we all remember.
Make sure what you buy lists Bismuth-Formic-Iodine as its first and active ingredient.
I asked for an exchange for the original antiseptic product I ordered or a refund.

Grew up on this product in England. My mother used it for everything requiring a disinfectant. Even safe in bath water. Safe around children and pets. Couldn't live without it.

StaphAseptic First Aid Bactericide Gel 2 oz (56.7 g) Review

StaphAseptic First Aid Bactericide Gel 2 oz (56.7 g)

I have had a MRSA staph infection on my arms and legs for over a year. I live in the tropics and it's very hard to keep the wounds dry. I tried a run of oral antibiotics with no results. I tried antibiotic creams and ointments with some relief. Then I found StaphAseptic. It starts to heal the sores in a few days. I apply it two or three times a day and it is really keeping the infection at bay. Now when I get a new sore, this ointment keeps the wound to the size of a pea, instead of the huge sores I had before and with no pain or swelling. And it smells good and isn't greasy. My only complaint is the packaging. You have to squeeze the tube really hard to get the last ounce out of it. I thought the tube was empty and I didn't have another one, so I just kept squeezing and it lasted for another month.
