Had to downgrade this product - possibly not pearl powder?!?!?! When I use it, it ends up sloughing off as if it were cotton threads - at first I thought it was my cotton balls and then I realized it it was this pearl powder. What a waste of money! Thanks god I was using this internally!!! If you're looking for plain pearl powder - you've come to the right product! I use this topically so I can't say much about its internal benefits - but my skin looks great! I try to stay as natural as possible and this product has done some good skin things without all the chemicals. It does take a few months to see the benefits, but at least I know that while i'm waiting for them I'm not poisoning myself.

University Medical AcneFree Therapeutic Sulfur Mask 1.7 fl oz (50 ml) Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using this product for more than 3 months now. I used to use the now discontinued University Medical Anti-redness kit, for my mild psoriasis. It had a sulfur-based wash in it, that I liked and was not too harsh for my skin.
Most benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid washes tend to overdry my skin, and then it becomes red and flaky. This product does the trick for me. I use it 3-4 times per week. It's more than comparable to the Proactiv sulfur mask, but with a twist. When it drys out, it has a slight bluish tint, and that's when you know that you are ready to wash it off.
It is a little bit pricey for the quantity, but I've bought it before at CVS, when it was on special: buy 1, get 1 50% off, so keep an eye out for sales. Also, every box that I've bought so far includes a $1 coupon off your next purchase, so that can help defray the cost as well.

Nature's Cure Body Acne Treatment Spray - 3.5 fl oz Review

(More customer reviews)This product is working well at maintaining my back acne free. Please note that if you currently have body acne you must first treat the ones you allreday have with Benzoil peroxide ( zapzit works great!!) and wash your back and or body with a salicilic acid soap (I used Neutrogena) Use the body spray twice daily along with these other two items and you ll have guaranteed results. After you have cleared up continue to use the spray to prevent breakouts. I suggest to let the spray air dry before puttin on clothes.
CONs;
I did not rate it as a 4 beacause of the following:
Spray cap does not really spray upside down.
Bottle is too hard to self handle for back acne
Botle shuld be biiger ( 8 onz or more ) Keeps running out every week!
Nevertheless I recomend this product . Good price and good results.

Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System Review

(More customer reviews)First off, I'm in my early 20's and have combination type skin with occasional, mild to moderate acne. I used nearly two whole ProActiv systems before switching to a Neutrogena kit and have found that this clears up my skin much better and faster. I find it very convenient that the Day Lotion includes SPF 15, whereas the ProActiv Repairing Lotion doesn't, even though ProActiv advises you to use sunscreen with their system when going outside. That would probably prompt you to buy their oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 as well ($$ smart business move $$), thus adding another step to your skin-care regimen. I would recommend anyone with my acne/skin type who is thinking about subscribing to ProActiv to try Neutrogena first.
Anyway, the Neutrogena kit lasts around 5 months for me. I still get an occasional zit or two, but with less frequency than I did in the past. I use a Neutrogena Rapid Clear spot gel for that with success.
Word of advice: It might be best if you shake the tube of acne cleanser before you start using it. When I was finishing up what was left of the last tube I used, I discovered that all the "micro-fine beads" were gathered there, afloat at the very top somehow. I've been wondering where those were all along...

(More customer reviews)Proaciv is a highly effective acne treatment brand but, here's the catch - you have to keep at it. Firstly, it takes a few weeks before you see significant results. This is the case for any acne treatment product really - you just HAVE to be consistent and give it time. So, folks looking for a quick solution to their problem (i.e. - clearing up your skin in time for prom or a wedding, for example) will be disappointed.
Secondly, it is not a magic potion capable of "curing" acne. Once you stop using the product, your acne will return unless you take active steps to maintain the health of your skin. It is often believed that merely using a product can be the only change made to help your skin. Clear skin is about more than just using the right brands.... having clear skin is about understanding skin.
Overall, I'd say use this product if you can afford to consistently buy it. If you can't, understand the ways to help keep your skin healthy since, if you don't take those steps, it is HIGHLY likely be disappointed once you stop using Proactiv.
