(More customer reviews)Every time I buy a DM cough suppressant, the taste is so awful that it almost always makes the medicine to spew out back - yuck! This cough medicine differs that it does not taste bad at all. It has a subtle orange flavor, slight sweetness, that I think even my kids will not mind. I say that because my little girl, always throws up every time she tries to get it down. We always have a bowl of ice whenever she takes it. By the way, it is also available for kids.
I was introduced to this brand just recently when I asked the pharmacist what he can recommend for my dry cough. It turned out to be quite effective. Effective enough to relieve the itching on my throat for many hours compared to the other over-the-counter medicine I have tried before.

(More customer reviews)I used to be able to find this at any local major drug store like Walgreen's, Duane Reade or CVS. For the last week I've tried 5 stores and can't find it anywhere. It really helps when I'm getting sick especially early on. I usually put it in tea and can barely taste it. I'm not sure if it's being discontinued but I really hope not!

(More customer reviews)I have used Chloraseptic Sore Throat Spray for years. I like the cherry flavor and it soothes the pain of a sore throat easily. Just unwrap the protective plastic covering the top of the bottle, open your mouth and spray two or three times on your sore throat. You can spray up to five times if you wish; but I find that usually after three sprays my throat feels better. You can use this product as often as every two hours to take away that awful sore throat pain. Amazon notes that it works well with canker sores, too. It is alcohol free, aspirin free and sugar free--great!
If you sore throat is persistent after two days I recommend you see your doctor rather than continue the use of this spray. You may need a prescription to get better.
I recommend that you not swallow this spray. That could make you sick to your stomach. I recommend spitting it out after you have finished spraying. You will still get the full effect.
Overall, Chloraseptic sore throat spray does the trick if you have a scratchy sore throat that is not part of a more serious infection or medical problem. Ask your doctor if you can indeed use it to mange any canker sore pain or discomfort caused by minor dental procedures. Use it as directed and it should help you. If your throat stays sore after three days you should see a doctor.

(More customer reviews)I have tried other brands of cough medicine, and nothing has ever taken away my cough, so I was reluctant to waste my money on this brand. Wow am I glad I took that chance! I had Bronchitis, and I tried this stuff on recommendation from a friend. My cough was gone, totally gone, and I didn't feel the urge to cough at all. I was able to sleep through the whole night without even having to clear my throat.

The grape taste is really good! I actually enjoyed the taste. It is a light, grape koolaid like taste. The syrup isn't super thick, so its easy to drink down and it doesn't leave an aftertaste.
This stuff truly lasted the 12 hours that it claims to last. I forgot to take it for 14 hours, and I still didn't feel the need to cough. I also didn't feel any side effects like being groggy or fuzzy headed.

This will be the only cough medicine I will buy from now on, and I have already recommended it to several of my friends!
