Compound W One Step Plantar Pads, Wart Remover 20 ea Review

Compound W One Step Plantar Pads, Wart Remover 20 ea
Average Reviews:

When I saw this, it seemed like the greatest idea--a strong, over-the-counter wart remover that came in the form of a bandage, so not only was the wart sealed, but the medicine was sealed in too!
Well, the pad isn't very flexible and it doesn't stick very well either. So if you were planning on wearing shoes or taking a shower or going swimming, forget about the pad. I'm sure the medicine is strong, but it doesn't really get a chance to apply itself.
Compound W is probably the best over-the-counter wart remover on the market, this just isn't their best product. I would recommend the "Fast Acting Gel" to get rid of your common or plantar warts. It takes time, but really works. It's worth the $5-$6 to try to avoid freezing off your wart. Plus, you can apply the exact amount to the precise area needed. And if you're worried about embarassing stuff, you can always cover the area with a good old fashioned band-aid.

Curad Mediplast Corn, Callus & Wart Remover Pads, 25 Pads Review

Curad Mediplast Corn, Callus and Wart Remover Pads, 25 Pads
Average Reviews:

Mediplast 40% sal.acid plasters are the best for removing any unwanted skin... corns, callouses, warts etc. Have recommended only this product for my entire carreer as a pharmacist. Warning!--- this is strong medicine and must be custom fit to each application... a box of 25 is enough for several lifetimes. Buy single sheets at an INDEPENDENT pharmacy unless you have lots and lots of warts to treat.

Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Liquid Wart Remover System, 0.33 fl oz Review

Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Liquid Wart Remover System, 0.33 fl oz

When our pediatrician diagnosed plantar's warts (a growth that makes the foot"print" disappear in that spot), he suggested Dr. Scholl's liquid wart remover, as opposed to other brands or methods. He said you should be sure no extra liquid is on the applicator because you want to cover only the wart - nothing more, nothing less - or it won't work right. Use it twice per day and it may take 2-6 weeks, he said. And then there's only a 70% chance of it working. My teen used it for a few weeks and the first wart did come off, but another one was underneath. So now we're working on that one. Don't know if this virus goes away or if it will be a problem off and on for a long, long time. Hope to find out at the next check-up. So, this seems like it's working; it definitely has a quick affect on a wart but it takes a while for real results. It is much better than nothing - there is no known cure.
Update since check-up: I didn't ask about long-term recurrence. The doctor realized when he saw peeling on the foot that the liquid was getting on surrounding skin and drying it out. He said to try again, being sure to cover ONLY the wart. Healthy skin is needed around the wart for this to work. He said if it doesn't solve the problem in eight weeks, he would refer to a podiatrist. He also suggested before every application to clean the foot, soak in an Epsom salt bath, dry thoroughly(emphasis here), then use the Dr. Scholl's liquid wart remover. Within two weeks of applying the wart remover as directed by the pediatrician, it worked!! No more warts!!

Wartner Cryogenic Wart Removal System, Original 1.18 fl oz (35 ml) Review

Wartner Cryogenic Wart Removal System, Original 1.18 fl oz (35 ml)

I used this on a persistent wart, approximately 1/8" diameter when I started and it was was growing rapidly. At first I followed the directions about 5 times over a couple of months, each time the wart healed and came back. Perhaps growing more rapidly, or at least it felt that way. Finally I devised a plan, realizing HPV is the cause of warts the trick it to kill it. Since the stuff does have an effect I thought hitting it while it is weak is the trick. So I zapped the wart one day with this stuff, I did this approximately 6 times every other day. The wart died and my skin returned to normal like nothing ever happened. So it worked but not like the instructions suggest, instead using much more aggressive techniques.

Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Medicated Disks, Plantar for Feet, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) Review

Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Medicated Disks, Plantar for Feet, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)

I had a wart on my foot for a while hoping that the "duct tape" remedy would work. After a few months I decided I should try something else, so I picked up these. I was skeptical at first since warts are supposedly hard to remove without harsh chemicals or treatments, but these did in fact work!
I kept the medical disks on my foot for about 12-14 days, replacing it (and the "cushioned" covering) every day. The covering seemed like it wouldn't stay on throughout the day, but it actually holds up pretty well and never came off throughout the day. I was especially surprised since my wart was in such a weird spot (right on the top of my 2nd toe). After the 12-14 days my wart simply scrubbed off when I was cleaning it one day, now the area is healing back up nicely. There was very minimal, if any, discomfort when using these. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a cheaper, and just-as-effective solution to get rid of a wart.

Oregano (Wild) Essential Oil, Organic, 5 ml. Review

Oregano (Wild) Essential Oil, Organic, 5 ml.

You may think this is the weird but I will say it anyway. This is what has made my mom's skin wart-like, flat like pancake dark colored growths disappear. It took a while but she dabbed it on one especially big one (2" x4" irregular shape) for a couple of months every day and it isn't there anymore. She also put some tea tree oil on it, alternating. She has tried everything but it wasn't until she used the oregano oil that it actually caused it to go away.
Personally, I mix a drop with my hand lotion to help with the arthritis. And sometimes I put a couple of drops in my socks laundry because I just feel better about the fact it has anti-fungal properties.
