It is the same for the evaluation of this book. Do not depend on others' opinion - but make your own ... if you can! Yes, If you have all the information necessary to look at the big picture of a situation you will probably be able to make a fair decision. But after reading this book (A Degree of Illumination) your convictions might differ.
There is so much previously unavailable data given to the reader that at times you will be shell-shocked ; often you will not believe - or will you?
You can compare our current situation on this planet with that of a glass of water. Humanity is the water. The glass is what you do not know yet but is explained in this book. However, this glass thing is very much known to a very, very small group of people that is confining humanity into that glass' shape; or in ignorance if you prefer.
What I liked with this book is that it is full of facts; if you have read or have seen The Secret or What the Bleep!? - Down the Rabbit Hole you will understand the beginning of the book. If you have read Zecharia Sitchin Twelfth Planet: Book I of the Earth Chronicles and David Icke I am me I am free - The Robots' Guide to Freedom you will appreciate the following part; if you wondered why alternative energy's researches are so slow to come on the market you will understand why ; if you wonder why Africa is going down the drain against it's will you will be served a clear picture.
This book is only about creating an awareness of the big picture; then it is up to you to make your own decision, but at least you are given a chance to make it in fairness. And that only is worth every possible top rate for this writer.
