(More customer reviews)I bought this clock previously from Radio Shack under their brand name. All our frends were amazed at how clear that it sounds. We liked it so well that we wanted to give them as Christmas gifts, but Radio Shack no longer sales them, so I went looking on the net and found them here.
The sound is loud and clear and can be heard softly throughout the home. This clarity is very importent to my wife because she is handicaped, and with this talking clock she doesn't have to get up to see the time, she can hear it. I've tried others but the sound of their mechanical voice isn't very understandable.

(More customer reviews)This watch is terrific for reminding you when you have multiple medications you need to take during the day, especially when you are away from home. There are very few watches (or alarm clocks) out there that provide multiple alarms.
However, when the battery runs down, you are stuck. It has 4 tiny hard to unscrew screws. And then the battery seems to be glued inside. Then I read the manual, and it says you have to take it to a jeweler to be replaced. With every other digital watch I have ever owned, you could unsnap the case or unscrew it with a quarter and replace the battery yourself. Why couldn't they have done that with this watch?

(More customer reviews)I have owned 1 of these for years and could not live without it. It holds quite a few pills and caps, just depends on the size of your meds. Most of mine are very large so I need an extra pill box. The ability to carry water or juice is the best part. No more having to stop whatever your doing to go find a drink.Hint: If you place one of the chemical ice cubes (1/2 inch x 1/2 usually found in camping or fishing equipment and supplies) in with your meds the water will stay cool for hours.
You can also slip the unit into a small baggy, add several chemical ice cubes to the baggy and your liquid will stay down right cold for a long time, this is great for keeping juices cold.

(More customer reviews)I found this med reminder very easy to program and use. If the pill is not taken and/or you don't press the large red button, It will show an "x" for that med time. Disadvantage. The alarm isn't really loud but alot of times my mom would here it say . " Take your pill." I wish it had more daily pill segments . 6 would be great. also if you could use the 2 additional med times as BP time or med time, that would be great. Otherwise I was very pleased with it and won't hesitate to buy one again.

(More customer reviews)I tried a couple other CHEAPER pill reminders, all but failed over time. I like that fact it takes regular cheap AA Alkaline batteries than specialty batteries. Variable alarm/beep (4) settings or no alarm. Flip the Volume button for louder if you prefer. Normal setting was plenty LOUD for me. :) The female voice is an added bonus...hehe. She reminds me and then keeps on reminding UNTIL I TAKE THE PILLS, click it once, then she tells me my next Pill reminder Alarm/Time if set. The Screen lights up for low room lighting-schweet! Dropped it like 10 times since having a nervous condition and IT WORKED JUST FINE!

(More customer reviews)I purchased the "Your Minder Personal Alarm Clock" because you can record up to 6 of your own alarm messages. I thought this would be great for my aging mother that needed reminders to take medications. The voice recording works well, but there is no way to eliminate the other messaging that comes out at 4 times the volume of your recorded message which is very irritating. There is no volume control. I put tape over the speakers to reduce the volume but then my recorded voice could not be heard. The pre-recorded messages are so loud you can hear the clock casing rattle. It is not possible to softly wake up with this siren of a voice going off.

(More customer reviews)Although this system was designed for diabetics, it is also useful for elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI) or any memory issues. I purchased this system for my mother, after researching its competition. For this price, there is nothing better. They thought of almost everything! It works beautifully, with up to 4 voice alarms, which can be programmed (or even turned off individually, as needed). It even announces the date and time. Having the color coded ends that indicate which days have been taken and completed (red), and which have not (green) is a stroke of genius. I also like the fact that the batteries in the alarm box are double A, rather than some obscure type which can be harder to come by. This system is easy to set up and understand, simple to use and has a terrific price point. I recommend it to anyone who has loved ones with MCI or even certain types of dementia.

Prevention PV-175 Electronic Pillbox/Timer Review

(More customer reviews)As long as you ignore the incredibly poorly written manual, this is a great little pillbox timer. It fits neatly in a pocket or purse and has lots of space for your pills. The pill compartment is divided into 2 sections. I have had no problems with it - it counts down accurately and I haven't forgotten my medication since I received it.
To set up the timer:
Pull out the clear tab sticking out of the battery compartment.
Set the number of hours you want the timer to count down. (H button)
Set the number of minutes you want the timer to count down. (M button)
Press the start/stop button to start the counter. (S/S button)
Once the timer has run out, press the start/stop button once to restart the timer. (The timer has reminder alerts at 10 minutes and 5 minutes before the alarm actually goes off.)
To clear the countdown timer, press the H and M buttons at the same time. Then reset the timer as described above.
