This watch is terrific for reminding you when you have multiple medications you need to take during the day, especially when you are away from home. There are very few watches (or alarm clocks) out there that provide multiple alarms.
However, when the battery runs down, you are stuck. It has 4 tiny hard to unscrew screws. And then the battery seems to be glued inside. Then I read the manual, and it says you have to take it to a jeweler to be replaced. With every other digital watch I have ever owned, you could unsnap the case or unscrew it with a quarter and replace the battery yourself. Why couldn't they have done that with this watch?

MedReady P1600 with Lower Frequency Alarm Review

MedReady P1600 with Lower Frequency Alarm
Average Reviews:

My mother suffers from Alzheimer's and has been living independently for a while in a CCRC. Before buying this product, we were using the 7-day pill sleeves. They worked for a few years but as her disease progressed, she was forgetting her meds more and more often. So we decided to give this a try. She takes morning and evening meds so we set up the tray with meds alternating between morning pills and evening pills. Then set up the dispenser to open up at 10:00a and 9:00p. For two years Mom never missed a dose. Unfortunately her disease has progressed to the point where she is now in assisted living. They administer her meds for her so we don't need this at the moment. But it was great while she was in independent living.

I am 58 years old and have no trouble with reading the days of the week on the boxes. This thing is easy to program and a necessary reminder for me. Unfortunately, the LCD clock stopped working (but not the alarms!) after a couple of years. Daylight Savings Time forced me to turn off the alarms. But, I liked it so much I am getting another one.

Tab Tote Classic Monthly Pill Organizer and Dispenser Review

Tab Tote Classic Monthly Pill Organizer and Dispenser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My wife avoids refilling her 7 day pill container. This one has 32 compartments and it lasts her 4 times as long so she doesn't have to be bothered with refilling it every week. When using it, the thing spins clockwise revealing the contents of each compartment. It does not spin counterclockwise unless you unlock it in the center; this prevents you from accidentially taking the last day's pills instead of the next day's pills. Very sturdy. sits upright and comes apart for easy refilling.

The Aqua Pill Timer Review

The Aqua Pill Timer
Average Reviews:

I have owned 1 of these for years and could not live without it. It holds quite a few pills and caps, just depends on the size of your meds. Most of mine are very large so I need an extra pill box. The ability to carry water or juice is the best part. No more having to stop whatever your doing to go find a drink.Hint: If you place one of the chemical ice cubes (1/2 inch x 1/2 usually found in camping or fishing equipment and supplies) in with your meds the water will stay cool for hours.
You can also slip the unit into a small baggy, add several chemical ice cubes to the baggy and your liquid will stay down right cold for a long time, this is great for keeping juices cold.

I have found that I have not missed any of my medications anymore since I got this. I like how easy it is to set and change times for medications. I sleep later on weekends and it is very easy to change the alarm for a later morning pill on Saturday.
I do not like the small display. I thought a missed pill would be more obvious. But it has a small text indicator.
The alarm is loud enough to hear across my house, so I would think anyone who can hear a doorbell will hear this.

I found this med reminder very easy to program and use. If the pill is not taken and/or you don't press the large red button, It will show an "x" for that med time. Disadvantage. The alarm isn't really loud but alot of times my mom would here it say . " Take your pill." I wish it had more daily pill segments . 6 would be great. also if you could use the 2 additional med times as BP time or med time, that would be great. Otherwise I was very pleased with it and won't hesitate to buy one again.

I purchased this product because my mother, who has Parkinson's, had a difficult time with the taking of her pills. She takes pills three times a day. I tried assigning letters to each pill and made, what I deemed a simple to follow chart, but we needed more. I feared accidental double does due to the possibility that she forgot whether she took he dose. Two weeks ago this product arrived, and problem solved. It is easy to load, easy to setup, and has solved the pill problem. The other great feature is that, because you set out the pills by the week, it is easy to know what pills you are running low on with plenty of time to spare. As for the operation of the machine, it is simple. There is absolutely no buttons for the pill taker to touch. It beeps, they pick it up to dispense the pills. The beepin alarm stops only when the dispenser is picked up. Genious!!!!! Thank you to whoever creates this inexpensive, yet effective, product. I would, and have, recommended this to anyone who is having a hard time dealing with a love ones pills.

Telemergency Royalty 100 Pill Dispenser with Alarm Clock and Timer Review

Telemergency Royalty 100 Pill Dispenser with Alarm Clock and Timer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This unit needs to be usable in all respects by anyone who might need help remembering to stay on a medication schedule. That would mostly be older people. In that respect it falls far short. Two stars instead of one because it does hold pills and you can get them out reasonably easily (assuming you've re-assembled it correctly; see below).
1. The slots do hold several pills (as advertised) but they are narrow and hard to fill without spilling a pill into a neighboring slot.
2. If you take it apart to wash it it is hard to reassemble. In particular, the center unit that holds the clock has to be inserted just right, which isn't obvious. Once that is in place, putting the cover on is pretty simple, but it's easy to get the center unit wrong.
3. The clock/alarm is a joke. First, it only alarms once a day, which makes no sense for someone needing to take meds more often. Second, it's hard to set (hold down two little keys, release, then press another to adjust hours or minutes). Third, the display is small and not well lit. Fourth, there is a "reminder" function, which requires more button pushing and notifies you in a fixed number of hours (not hours and minutes, just hours) and is easy to confuse with the alarm (which is a once a day setting). Fifth, the alarm is both a buzzer and a small blinking light, but turning the buzzer off (using the very small switch on the clock unit) also turns of the flashing alarm. So if you just want to be reminded by a flashing light that you need to take your meds this morning you can't do it. And if you want to be reminded in the morning and evening, forget it.
4. The manual is not much help.
Seniors would need considerable help setting this up, if it's appropriate at all. We'll probably return it.

Medcenter Talking Alarm Clock & Medication Reminder Review

Medcenter Talking Alarm Clock and Medication Reminder
Average Reviews:

I tried a couple other CHEAPER pill reminders, all but failed over time. I like that fact it takes regular cheap AA Alkaline batteries than specialty batteries. Variable alarm/beep (4) settings or no alarm. Flip the Volume button for louder if you prefer. Normal setting was plenty LOUD for me. :) The female voice is an added bonus...hehe. She reminds me and then keeps on reminding UNTIL I TAKE THE PILLS, click it once, then she tells me my next Pill reminder Alarm/Time if set. The Screen lights up for low room lighting-schweet! Dropped it like 10 times since having a nervous condition and IT WORKED JUST FINE!

Interactive 6 Personalized Alarm Reminder Clock Review

Interactive 6 Personalized Alarm Reminder Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the "Your Minder Personal Alarm Clock" because you can record up to 6 of your own alarm messages. I thought this would be great for my aging mother that needed reminders to take medications. The voice recording works well, but there is no way to eliminate the other messaging that comes out at 4 times the volume of your recorded message which is very irritating. There is no volume control. I put tape over the speakers to reduce the volume but then my recorded voice could not be heard. The pre-recorded messages are so loud you can hear the clock casing rattle. It is not possible to softly wake up with this siren of a voice going off.

MedCenter Monthly Medication System with Reminder Alarm Review

MedCenter Monthly Medication System with Reminder Alarm
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Although this system was designed for diabetics, it is also useful for elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI) or any memory issues. I purchased this system for my mother, after researching its competition. For this price, there is nothing better. They thought of almost everything! It works beautifully, with up to 4 voice alarms, which can be programmed (or even turned off individually, as needed). It even announces the date and time. Having the color coded ends that indicate which days have been taken and completed (red), and which have not (green) is a stroke of genius. I also like the fact that the batteries in the alarm box are double A, rather than some obscure type which can be harder to come by. This system is easy to set up and understand, simple to use and has a terrific price point. I recommend it to anyone who has loved ones with MCI or even certain types of dementia.

7-Day AM/PM Locking Pill Reminder Review

7-Day AM/PM Locking Pill Reminder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I only have to take pills in the morning and night. So I didn't need a pill organizer designed to hold pills for 4 times a day like most pill organizers. Also the ones that hold pills for 4 times a day usually have smaller compartments. I like this AM / PM pill organizer because it has very large compartments which fit many pills, large and small, including vitamin and calcium pills.
I also like the locking feature. I've dropped my pill container several times and this has kept them safely in the days and times where they belong. I take 16 pills a day, some of them very tiny. Locating all the pills if the contents spilled is very difficult, if not almost impossible. Also, the locking feature is helpful when you travel. If you are going for less than 7 days, you can put all the pills you need in the organizer and place that in your bag without fear of losing the pills. There is no need to take all the pill bottles with you.
One drawback is shortly after I bought this the Thursday PM cover broke at the hinge. Due to the locking feature, it snaps into place and keeps the pills where they need to be. So I haven't replaced it. Also, it is a little difficult to put pills into the compartments if you are trying to do it one handed (pill in one hand, bottle in the other) because the covers do not stay open fully. If you have both hands available this isn't a problem because the covers will open up fully but need to be held in position.

I bought this for my father-in-law who is on many prescription drugs. He is 82 and his wife 80, they were having trouble keeping up with all his prescriptions and times they were to be taken. I set it up for them once a month and they are comfortable that he is taking what he is suppose to when he is suppose to. I would recommend this to any one taking several prescriptions, you can also order the reminder clock that will tell you when it's time to take your pills. Great product.
