(More customer reviews)I've been using Badger products for years, and I have hoped that they would make a balm like this for some time. I'm a chronic migraine sufferer; I get migraines 3 or more times per week. As an adjunct to my drug therapy, this stuff works beautifully, helping me to relax a bit while I wait for my medication to take effect. The peppermint/lavender scent actually lessens my nausea. Rubbing the product into my temples seems to have some effect on the pain as well. Don't get me wrong: I don't think this product on its own would get rid of one of my migraines. But having this simple product handy when I am suffering so badly does help.

It probably won't take the pain away, but it does make it better!!

(More customer reviews)Worked well for my 15 month old who fell off a kitchen chair & got a goose egg on her forehead. Urgent care told us to ice if she would tolerate, but she would NOT put up with an ice pack on it for more than a couple of seconds. Spotted these at the drug store, and it stayed adhered to her forehead all night the first night. (We were checking on her every hour or so.) Not quite as cold, but we figured it was better than nothing, and when we took it off in the a.m., it was still very cool. The doctor said she would probably get 2 black eyes and a swollen nose, especially if we weren't able to ice it, but the bruising never spread downward. I was worried she would get a rash from the adhesive because she has very sensitive skin, but no problems there. Only downside I found was, when she was awake, she wanted to pull it off, and they start to lose adhesion if they get pulled off just once. Also, they don't stick well to a sweaty forehead. Wash & dry well before applying. Recommend to have on hand for first aid if your child won't sit still with an ice pack, and plan to try for fever in the future as well. Tried cutting them in half to save a little & just cover the bump. Cutting in pieces works okay, but it didn't have enough surface area to stick well. Might try for other bumps/bruises with an Ace bandage or medical tape to keep it on.

(More customer reviews)When i was a kid, i would cry myself to sleep because Advil, Aspirin, Tylenol, etc would not work. I would even sometimes throw up from the pain. I found out that my headaches came from certain foods (usually of the processed meat variety: hot dogs, lunch meat, etc) and caffeine withdrawal. I loved Mtn Dew, but if i didn't have it for a day or two i would get these crazy headaches. Now its like when Excedrin touches my lips, i can already feel my headache going away. THATS HOW GOOD IT WORKS!!! It works so good that it has trained my brain in an almost Pavlovian manner to make the headache go away before my body even digests it. OH and do not take it if you have been drinking as a hangover preventer... you are just asking for blood in your stool. Doing so can really mess up your liver just as taking Tylenol because of the acetaminophen in it. Otherwise this is seriously the best medicine PERIOD... because it works!

(More customer reviews)I ordered this product in December 2007 and received bottles with an expiration of August 2010 -- no expired or soon-to-expire product.
The previous reviewer posted his same review for every Excedrin product that Amazon carries and never posted an update. You probably would have seen an update if things were not resolved to his satisfaction.
And even if Amazon were to send you a soon-to-expire product, a simple phone call would get the problem resolved at no cost to you. By way of example, I once ordered a 12-pack of taco dinner kits from Amazon and received boxes with expirations date less than a month away. I made a quick phone call to Amazon and they offered me a refund (including shipping costs), but I opted to have them sent me a new 12 pack instead and they let me keep (or they let me dispose of, if you want to be cynical) the first batch.

(More customer reviews)Occasionally, my lower back gets cranky. After a bad ice storm in 2008, I ended up hurting my shoulders by hauling a lot of dropped branches and axing and sawing them into smaller pieces. To what do I turn? Advil (and generic ibuprofen).
Once upon a time, when I first started having lower back problems, I'd take prescription drugs that would put me in "lala land" for a couple days until muscles relaxed. Then, I discovered that ibuprofen (normally in the form of Advil, but sometimes generic) did the trick about as well--without knocking me out--and for a lot less money.
So, I am an advocate for Advil and ibuprofen generally. 3 tablets three times a day takes care of most lower back or shoulder problems. Fortunately, I have never had any adverse reactions to this dosage when the discomfort becomes acute.

I hate taking medication and I typically wait until my headache has become quite painful before I reach in the medicine cabinet. With that said, tylenol, motrin, excedrin or other over the counter medications have never worked for me. I either have to deal with the pain or take something that makes me feel groggy-- UNTIL NOW! Migralex isn't a miracle drug but it is very effective at cutting the pain down of my moderately severe headaches. I can get on with my day without falling asleep, feeling groggy or any other ill side effect that usually comes with the prescription stuff. You are still going to need a rescue medication for the worst headaches, but for a person who gets regular headaches or an occasional tension/sinus/menstrual headaches this medication is wonderful!

(More customer reviews)I have had horrible migraines since ~2003 and was treated with numerous prescription drugs that made me so sick I would miss weeks of school at a time. My old boss found out what was going on and told me to take 2 excedrin migraine and within a day I was back on my feet. I couldn't believe it was that simple after weeks of being so sick!!
Doctors recently tried again to treat me with prescription drugs (one called topamax) and it resulted in an ambulance & hospital admission, no joke! So, I stick to this. It may not be for everyone, but it works for me and I have heard the same from many others. As long as you take it when you feel your migraine coming on, it will probably take about 30 minutes to clear up. BUT, you have to take that 30 minutes to lay down, shut off bright lights & noise and just relax.
**TIP: As soon as you feel your migraine coming on, take 2 excedrin migraine with some soda (any kind that has caffeine in it). I was recently at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and they shared this tip with me...
