Strong stream clears out the junk, then the syringe can be pulled apart and washed thoroughly. (More customer reviews)I was pleased to see that Amazon sells these 1.4 qt sizes in a pack of 12. At $2.66 apiece, that's way better than paying over $6 apiece at a pharmacy. I gave it four stars only because the description on the container says it can hold 70-100 insulin needles. Well, we've filled up over a dozen of these red containers, and we find we can only fit 50 insulin needles in one 1.4 qt. red container. Maybe it's the size of the needles, so your mileage may vary. Other than that, we're very pleased with this purchase. And here's an important note: Be sure to NOT close the cap onto the top of the red container until you are absolutely sure you won't be putting anymore needles inside. Once that cap is put on, it STAYS on permanently.

Safety 1st Set and Measure Spoon Review

It's a real pain to put together each use. This one sounded like a good idea, but I'd recommend a cheap medicine scoop. This one isn't worth the money.

We have a 5th grader who doesn't do pills, and in this case that doesn't matter because the dosage level of the med in question is regularly changed. The liquid meds are dispensed in the tallish 8 oz bottles and once the level is down a couple of inches, you cannot reach with a syringe to load the syringe. The adapter cap included in this product handily solves that problem. Due to the cap construction, if the liquid is thick, a small bottle brush may be needed to clean it between uses. Thin liquids can be rinsed out.

Safety 1st Easy Fill Medicine Syringe Review

(More customer reviews)I just bought this for my kid to take antibiotic medicine. The bad thing about it is that the rubber plug on the plunger doesn't make an airtight seal. This means as you're pulling the plunger back to draw in the medicine, you will have a very big air bubble and your measurement will be off.
To resolve the giant air bubble, I need to turn the syringe with the point facing up and tap it. (But if the medicine is thick, this is harder to do). Sometimes the air bubbles leave. Sometimes, they get trapped at the point of the syringe. I've often spent around 3+ minutes of tapping the syringe and ejecting and reloading medicine until I get the amount that I'm looking for.
I haven't looked at alternatives yet. But if the medicine you're using this syringe for is critical to your babies health, you might want to consider looking for something else.
